These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of the Canterbury Leisure website and your bookings, purchases, and visits at Canterbury Leisure.

By accessing the website, making a booking, purchasing vouchers, or visiting our venue, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

2. Use of Our Website

2.1 Permitted Use

  • Manage your own bookings (where available)

You must not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, or violate any applicable laws.

3. Making a Booking

3.1 Who Can Book

You must be at least 18 years old to make an online booking. By making a booking, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on behalf of the entire group included in the booking.
 

3.2 Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only when:

  • Payment has been successfully processed, and

  • You receive a confirmation (on screen and/or by email) from Canterbury Leisure.

If payment is not successfully processed, the booking will not be confirmed.
 

3.3 Group Organiser Responsibilities

The person who makes the booking (the “Group Organiser”) is responsible for:

  • Ensuring the group is aware of their booking details and arrival time

  • Ensuring all participants follow Canterbury Leisure’s staff instructions and venue rules

  • Making sure participants meet age/suitability requirements for the booked activities

  • Providing accurate group and contact information
     

3.4 Transfer and Resale

Bookings made with Canterbury Leisure are for the original group only and cannot be resold or transferred for commercial gain. Canterbury Leisure may refuse entry if it reasonably believes a booking has been resold, without refund.
 

4. Prices, Payments, Offers and Vouchers

4.1 Pricing and Payment

Prices shown at the time of booking are the prices you will pay. Payment is usually required at the time of booking unless explicitly stated otherwise.
 

4.2 Discount Codes and Offers

Discount codes and promotional offers:

  • Must be entered at the time of booking

  • May have limitations (e.g., dates, times, activities)

  • Cannot be combined unless specified

Canterbury Leisure reserves the right to change or withdraw promotions at any time.
 

4.3 Gift Vouchers

If Canterbury Leisure sells gift vouchers, the terms and expiry of voucher use will be provided at the time of purchase. Voucher use is subject to these Terms unless otherwise stated.
 

5. Changes, Cancellations, Late Arrivals and No-Shows

Canterbury Leisure operates activities that run at scheduled times. Detailed rules on how changes, cancellations, refunds, late arrivals, and no-shows are handled are set out in our Bookings Policy.
 

5.1 Refund Position

Unless otherwise required by law, confirmed bookings are generally non-refundable.
 

5.2 Rescheduling

If you need to change your booking, contact Canterbury Leisure as soon as possible. Rescheduling may be offered at our discretion and subject to availability, and a fee may apply.
 

5.3 Arrival Times, Lateness and No-Shows

You should arrive at least 10–15 minutes before your scheduled activity time. If you arrive late, your activity session may be shortened so subsequent bookings are not affected. If you arrive 15 minutes or more after the booking time, Canterbury Leisure may treat your reservation as a no-show, and no refund will be issued.
 

6. Age, Suitability and Safety

Certain activities at Canterbury Leisure have age, height, or supervision requirements. It is your responsibility to verify that all participants meet the requirements for the activities booked.

All guests must follow staff instructions and safety rules at all times. Canterbury Leisure reserves the right to stop an activity if safety instructions are not followed, without refund.
 

7. Behaviour, Damage and Venue Rules

Canterbury Leisure aims to provide a safe, fun, and welcoming environment.

Canterbury Leisure may refuse entry, or ask a person to leave without refund if they:

  • Are under the influence of excessive alcohol or illegal substances

  • Behave in a threatening, abusive, disruptive, or discriminatory manner

  • Refuse to follow staff instructions

  • Deliberately damage property or equipment

If a guest or group causes damage through misuse or misconduct, Canterbury Leisure may charge for repair or replacement.
 

8. Photography, Recording and Social Content

Guests may take casual photos in public areas for personal use, unless otherwise indicated by signage or staff.

Recording (photo/video/audio) may be restricted in certain activity areas for safety or privacy reasons. Where recording is prohibited, you must comply with the restriction. Canterbury Leisure may request deletion of unauthorised recordings and/or ask you to leave without refund.
 

9. Liability

9.1 What Canterbury Leisure Is Responsible For

Canterbury Leisure accepts liability for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage resulting from breaches of these Terms or from our negligence, in accordance with applicable law.
 

9.2 What Canterbury Leisure Is Not Responsible For

Canterbury Leisure is not responsible for:

  • Loss of or damage to personal belongings

  • Loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable

  • Loss of profits, income, business or goodwill

  • Injuries or losses caused by failure to follow safety instructions or misuse of equipment
     

9.3 No Exclusion of Legal Rights

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes Canterbury Leisure’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
 

9.4 Maximum Liability

Where permitted by law, Canterbury Leisure’s total liability in respect of any claim arising from your use of this website, services, or venue is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant booking.
 

10. Privacy and Cookies

Your use of the Canterbury Leisure website is governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which explain how we collect, use, and protect personal data. These policies form part of these Terms.
 

11. Changes to These Terms

Canterbury Leisure may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, services, or operations. The version of these Terms in effect at the time you make a booking will apply to your booking.
